Sunday Post #8: Shorter Days & Coloring Love
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
This week seemed to move by in a bigger blur than the last (like this weekend seemed to feel). And yes, definitely think those feels hit more as we get older and our loved ones do as well. My mom just celebrated her birthday yesterday and I couldn’t be there with her as she lives in Texas. From us, that’s quite a drive (a whole day or longer without stops) especially right now that the kids are in school, so I’ve been feeling all kinds of emotional lately.
So, what I did this week was keep busy with my family and everything going on with the kids’ school (field trips already coming up) and tons more reading with a few coloring books I’ve been adding to the mix because I’ve always been the coloring type. With the weather getting fresher and a lot more of the Autumn season picking up, it’s made feels a lot better, looking forward to going to the apple orchards with the hubby and kiddos.
I’ve also gotten some spooky movies and reads for the month. I don’t know why I do that to myself as I’ll probably have nightmares later, but sometimes it can’t be helped lol. Of course, I’ve also gotten some lighter novels and movies because I’m not trying to end up traumatized (yeah, I’m still a scaredy cat at heart 😳). I’m also participating in the Blog Tour for Last chance by Gregg Hurwitz later this month, which has zombie-like beings filling the pages. Chills for days.

What I’m Watching
There wasn’t a lot I watched this week, but I did catch up with Superstore and watched the premiere of Inhumans because this past week I needed a little bit of laughs and some marvel goodness. That also included watching Spiderman: Homecoming, which I actually liked and found it a nice change to previous movies. The other movie I was able to watch was Baby Driver and it wasn’t how I thought it was going to be. I didn’t think I was going to like it, but the hubby had wanted to see it so there we go and I actually really liked it. I mean, Baby’s character and the way he gets through his day (lots of music involved)… definitely worth watching ⤵️
Hope you guys had a great week and that your start to month is filled with tons of good feels and many more books! Happy Reading!
