Sunday Post #4: Waiting for Fall & New Book Releases

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

This week had a lot of rainy days and leaves on the ground and it just gave me all the feels. I hadn’t really been wanting to go out this week as last week had been super busy and this coming up week is going to be the same, so I stayed in for a good amount of it. I got a lot more reading in and also received a cookbook for review (expecting another one this week) so looking forward to making a few recipes from those two.

I won’t lie, I’m a big kid at heart and I ended up coloring some of those days, of course my kids love that time as we sit down and just color and talk about everything. There are few that I saw up on Book Outlet and Amazon that caught my attention so I might be adding a few more to my collection pretty soon. One can never have too many coloring books lol. Aside from coloring books, I’m really looking forward to all the awesome reads coming out this month. You can check here for a complete list.

If that wasn’t relaxing enough, knowing that fall is right around the corner made it ten times better. I love everything about Autumn and all that it brings (drinks and all lol). I’m not big on Summer so I’m kind of glad to see it go away for now. The heat might have to do a lot with that, but it was never one of the seasons I looked forward to. To celebrate fall almost here, I’m running a giveaway on the blog right now and two on Twitter, so don’t miss out and good luck!

This week I watched some really good tv and movies. Rememory was all about what one would do given the opportunity to record all memories onto a device you could replay at any time. Then there was Gifted which was just a tearjerker for most of it, but was a really nice movie all around. I kept up with two K-Dramas this week one was Who Are You? which involving ghosts and solving their murders (spooky but good), the other was a nice romance drama Bride of the Water God full of supernatural beings and tough choices. Last, but not least, I just had to re-watch a few Supernatural eps after this week’s Top 5 (all about bromances).

There was a lot of music this week and most of it came from the albums above. It started with 30 Seconds To Mars and moved along from there. I call it feel good music, when I’m having some moments and need something that soothes or has that chill feel, those are my go to. I had one vid on replay throughout the week, a live acoustic performance of The Kill (because it was awesome and Jared Leto, need I say more lol). So, leaving you guys on that note, here is the performance. Hope you enjoy!

Let me know down below in the comments about your week or share a link if you also have a Sunday Post on your blog, I’d like to hear from you. Happy days and happy reading!

Wow, that sounds like tons of fun, would love to have seen that. I wish I could say I was a fan of summer, but sadly not so much lol, but definitely love all the other seasons. Hope you have a great start to fall and glad to hear your summer was a great one!
