Sunday Post: Book Reads and Blogiversary

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

This week was definitely a book filled week. There were so many books on my to TBR pile that I hadn’t been able to get around to much of July along with posts. So, of course the first thing I did this past week was read as much as possible, and I’ve definitely been reading A LOT lol. There are several I’m reading at the moment as well as the ones I read to my little ones at night before bedtime.

Along with that, I am very much looking forward to this coming up week because it’s the next book club in town. While my inlaws were here, I wasn’t able to attend the first meeting as they surprised us with an early visit. I was a little bummed out by my not being able to take part in it, but I signed up for the next meeting right away and I’m really looking forward to the discussion on the chosen book, Room by Emma Donoghue.

Earlier in the week, I also had my 7 months blogiversary. I can’t believe it’s already been seven months since I started blogging, it’s been such a great adventure so far. I had already been reading a lot before that, but since I’ve had my website, I’ve read tons more and become part of a great book community. It’s something that has quickly become one of my favorite things.

This week has been a recap of Doctor Who (which is almost always), and the new show The Mist which I find to be more spookier than the movie. A few movies that I’ve gotten around to watching this week (because after those shows I felt it was needed lol) are Snatched, Going In Style, and Sing. Sing has been playing on and off throughout the week because my daughter can’t get enough of it (last month was Moana). I’ve also been watching many eps of different Korean Dramas (would be to many to add on here lol) on Drama Fever. Image result for dotted purple line                                     Image result for avriel and the sequoias Image result for ruelle album Image result for linkin park leave out all the rest album Image result for the civil wars album Image result for imagine dragons albums

Music has really been on my mind this week and everywhere. I don’t usually listen to much music while reading or blogging, but I’ve definitely been listening to a lot of it lately. I fell in love with the new album by Avi (Pentatonix) Avriel & The Sequoias, tons of Ruelle (thanks to Shadowhunters), Linkin Park, The Civil Wars, and Imagine Dragons.

Thank you for stopping by! Hope everyone has a great week. I’m looking forward to catching up with your previous posts, as well as what you have coming up for this week.
