Most Anticipated Reads: July
It’s July and aside from an awesome weekend that I just had, I’ve also gotten to check out the books for this month and I can’t wait to start reading several of them. I know I might not be able to get around to all of them, but I will definitely try to, especially my top five for this month.
Because You Love to Hate Me had me right from the synopsis, thirteen bestselling authors team up with thirteen influential BookTubers. Yup, of course I am want to read this book. It’s all about the villains point of view in well-known stories and how they came to be, the heartaches they had to endure and tons more.
Watch Me Disappear is about Billie Flanagan who goes missing and her family who has to continue without her, just to find there is so much more going on than just her disappearance. Her husband has a drinking problem and their daughter starts dreaming about her mother Billie. Soon they start uncovering secrets that may have led to Billie’s demise.
Daughter of the Burning City includes a traveling circus city. So far this year, carnival/circus themed books have been among my favorites, don’t doubt this one will definitely be added to that mix. Sorina, who has a rare talent of creating any illusion her mind envisions, finds out that somehow her illusions are more than just that and are being murdered. It will take her on a crazy adventure.
The Disappearances is one novel I’m absolutely intrigued with. Sterling is a place where nothing lasts forever, where dreams and certain abilities vanish every seven years. Alia is at the center of it all, along with her deceased mother Juliet. If she hopes to find a way to stop what’s going on, she must first find out what her mother was hiding and how it ties in with the disappearances.
A Stranger in the House is about a woman who ends up in an accident she doesn’t even remember being in. The last thing she does remember is being home, getting dinner ready for her husband, then being told she was in a car accident in a really bad side of town. Her cellphone, along with her purse, were both still at her house. They’ll have to figure out what’s really going on before it’s too late.
Can’t wait to get started on these, along with a few others from my previous top lists. This is one of those times I wish more hours were added to the day lol.
